Country Girl Corner

Welcome to Country Girl Corner.  My name is Lesley, and I love to make and create.  I get a lot of enjoyment from making The Wee Bears, and am forever looking for beautiful old vintage eiderdown fabrics for their dresses and the furnishings.  The Wee Bears also have their own wee pet dogs, cats and bunnies and they are always on the look out for adventures!  The Wee Bears are hand-stitched in mohair fabric, and have vintage fabric dresses.  They have my maker's initial sewn into the back of the dress, and each bear is given a hand-stamped named tag, and then has it's photo taken for the family album.  Each bear is presented in a hand-cut, wire stitched decorated box and is then ready for it's forever home.

I enjoy creating miniature embroidered pictures from pieces of vintage fabric, and these are sought after collectibles and always prove popular at craft shows.

I have previously exhibited at The Country Living Fair in London, Kirsty Allsopp's Handmade Fair at Hampton Court Palace, Farnham Maltings, Stonor Park and many other local fairs.
